Q: Payment type accepted

A: Our machine accepts all major forms of debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard & Fleet cards) including tap to pay. Our machine does take coins. If you need change, please visit the Esso convenience store and our staff will be delighted to provide coins for you!​​​​​​​​​​

If you are using fleet cards and the machine declines your card, please visit the Roadking Esso for payment processing.
Q: How much will my credit card be charged? My banking app shows I was overcharged.
​
A: The machine automatically pre-authorizes $18.01. However, only the amount spent will be charged to your card once it gets posted on your credit card statement. If you check your banking app immediately after the washing session ends, it will show the pre-authorized charge of $18.01 only. Rest assured that after the transaction settles in a few business days (exact timing depends on your bank), you will see that the pre-authorized amount disappears and only the amount used will appear on your statement.
Q: How do you calculate final charge?

A: Our payment machine is set to $0.79/minute rounded to the nearest minute and dollar. This means that if you wash your vehicle for 5 minutes, you will be charged $4 only. However, if you wash for 4 minutes and 10 seconds, you will still be charged for the entire minute. We recommend keeping an eye out for the timer to make the best use of each minute to maximize time washing!
Q: How do you offer such competitive pricing and long operating hours?

A: Because our car wash is being overseen by our staff at Roadking Esso, we can offer very competitive rates that is almost a 50% discount compared to nearby car washes (market price is around $1.2-1.6/minute). lf you require any assistance while washing your vehicle, please visit the Roadking Esso. Keeping the car wash autonomous allows us to offer the newest & best equipment at an amazing price unparalleled by any nearby car washes! Rest easy knowing our security cameras monitor your safety and our staff is only a wall away.
Q: How do the doors open?

A: We have underground sensors that will automatically open the overhead doors when you approach. If the doors are not opening, please ensure that there is nobody else currently occupying the bay. Once you enter the bay, the doors will close automatically too!
Q: How do I get a receipt?
​
A: After you end the wash session, the machine will automatically display a prompt asking whether or not you would like to obtain a receipt. If click "yes", a QR code will be displayed and you can scan the code with your phone to obtain a virtual receipt. Alternatively, please email: Roadking.carwash@gmail.com with the amount of your purchase, time of purchase and last 4 digit of your card and one of our staff will respond shortly.
Q: Do you have a change machine?

A: The bays are managed by our friendly staff from the adjacent Roadking Esso. If you require change or need any additional help, please visit the Roadking Esso Convenience store and our friendly staff will be delighted to offer any assistance needed!

A: Everyone is different and we believe that customers should use the sequence they feel like their vehicle needs and according to their budget.

Q: What can I wash at your car wash?
​
A: We are a car wash so all vehicle, trailers and equipment are welcomed as long as they fit into our bays. However, washing any component of your vehicle is at your own risk, so we would recommend all doors are closed before starting your wash session and only wash equipment according to the manufacturer's instruction. If your vehicle has a lot of mud, please consider cleaning up the floor by rinsing the floor and pushing the sludge down the center where water drains as this allows us to keep costs low!
